After a short drive through the Akamas Peninsula, one descends down to Hrysochou Bay and the small quiet town of Polis on the Northern coastline of Cyprus. Here one will find beaches but not the kind filled with endless sunbeds and the noise of jet skis. The photos below were taken at the main camping site and show people who clearly enjoy taking their vacations slow and easy. It is said that some of the best cuisine on the island is served in the town restaurants.
