Protaras is a small community east of Agia Napa along the southeast coastline of the Republic of Cyprus. It is primarily a resort area with a good range of beaches catering to tourist trade. Most of the resorts have sprawling lawns leading down to the sand and sunbeds. Tavernas located along the beaches provide good affordable food without worries about bare feet and sand.
